In November 2000 we moved to the beautiful village of Edzell. After carrying out alterations to Kinnaber we then had the facilities for B&B, so we decided to give it a try as it was something Anne had always wanted to do. So we opened for business in 2004 and have not looked back.
Entering into the B&B sector was a seamless exercise for Anne due to her previous experience in catering. Jim on the other hand had not had experience in cooking for paying guests, but under Anne’s tutelage soon became quite proficient on the breakfasts, but not at making beds!
Kinnaber is a reasonably old house built in 1923 and the alterations we have done are, in our opinion, sympathetic to a house of that period. In 2015 we added an extension and we a very pleased that it blends in perfectly with the original structure.
You are guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome from Anne and Jim. You can also depend on first class four star accommodation with superior ensuite facilities and a hearty Scottish Breakfast with seasonal local produce.
If attention to detail is important, Kinnaber is a must. Our aim is that you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.
